Evergreen State Constitutionist: March 2017
All of you who have duly sworn an oath to “support and defend” the U. S. Constitution, and to “bear true faith and allegiance to the same,” have but one choice available to them where Obamacare is concerned, and that is to repeal and “NOT” replace.
Article I, Section 8, of the United States Constitution, which specifies the powers delegated to Congress, nowhere mentions healthcare, or health insurance, thus leaving them outside the purview of Congress. Though legal gymnastics, and Constitutional contortions, have been used to justify the federal government’s meddling in these areas, to do so shows contempt for the clear intentions of the framers of the Constitution, and thereby, shows contempt for the document itself and for the rule of law which emanates from it.
The desire to lower costs, provide more choices, and give greater control over our healthcare would best be accomplished by the complete removal of government from the dispensing, regulating, or mandating of healthcare and health insurance, thus leaving all choices between we-the-people and our healthcare providers and/or insurers alone.

THE CONSTITUTION PARTY OF WASHINGTON HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN HONORED BY THE SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER
Congratulations, if you are a supporter of the Constitution Party of Washington you have made the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) 2017 list of extreme anti-government groups. This means that if you are pro-Constitution (which, per Article VI, Clause 2, is the Supreme Law of the Land) you are “anti-government”. What an admission! The SPLC seems to be implying that the current government structure is functioning unconstitutionally and a political party that legally runs candidates who believe in restoring Constitutional government is in opposition to it.
Isn’t that what politics is all about? People who disagree with the current government running candidates who also disagree with the way things are running? When did this become un-American and “dangerous”? It is noteworthy that the Constitution Party is the only political party listed as “extremist”. This implies that all other political parties – particularly Democrat and Republican – are on board with supporting the continuation of unconstitutional government, in violation of the Supreme Law of the Land.
For decades now the SPLC has had the ear of government officials and law enforcement, actively working to “educate” agencies about those who politically oppose them, using fear and intimidation tactics, far beyond the reason for their original formation – to oppose racism in the Old South. Some groups and persons listed do have proven track records as dangerous criminals. Yet the SPLC continues to disseminate false information about groups such as the Constitution Party, with no evidence to back their claim beyond their choice to identify such groups as “the enemy”. This has become the political manipulation technique of the 21st Century – lies and fake news, more lies and more fake news.
The Constitution Party of Washington is pleased to continue promoting and advocating for a return to limited government with a strict application of its precepts, per the original intent of the Framers. If that makes us the enemy of government corruption, then so be it. If that makes us the enemy of the SPLC, so be it. It does not make us the enemy of the law of the land nor the people of the land. Do your own research.
The Constitution Party of Washington supports pro-constitutional government. It supports the rule of law for society and government. It supports the election of citizens to civil offices at every level who will uphold the supreme law of the land in accordance with the original intent of the American founders. Unfortunately, the SPLC views the U. S. Constitution and the rule of law as a threat to their political agenda.
In the final analysis, America’s Founders were considered anti-government extremists in opposition to the British regime of their day. Without their insistence that all Englishmen should have their common-law rights as citizens of the realm, we would not have the freedoms we have long enjoyed. Without their willingness to draw a line in the sand and fight the tyranny they suffered under, America would not exist as a land of Liberty. We face the same problems today and are trying to solve them through legal means – the ballot box, despite difficult ballot access laws designed to prevent the supporters of viewpoints opposing the current ruling parties from gaining access to the political system. The Constitution Party of Washington will continue to uphold its standard of adherence to both the federal Constitution and the Washington State Constitution. This is the truth of the matter.

MEET US IN ST. LOUIS!
The Constitution Party will hold its semi-annual National Committee Meeting on May 5th and 6th in St. Louis Missouri. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Scott N. Bradley, 2016 Vice-Presidential Candidate and author and creator of “To Preserve the Nation” book and seminar series. Details and registration information can be found on the national website: St. Louis National Committee Meeting.
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN:
National chairman, Frank Fluckiger, recently sent out an email to all state leaders. Here are some highlights:
- Hawaii and New Mexico have received clearance from their state election offices to begin gathering signature for ballot access in their respective states. Both petitions are approved and printed. Hawaii requires approximately 750 signatures for registered voters and New Mexico requires approximately 2,500. Moke Stephens is spear heading the drive in Hawaii and Bob Bowen is leading the effort in New Mexico. It is our goal to qualify both states for ballot access by the time of the St. Louis national committee meeting on May 5th and 6th. This will be a major milestone for the party. This is very doable, but it is going to require the support of our state leaders and party members across the nation. Contact Moke Stephens via email at moke84404 [at] yahoo [dot] com and Bob Bowen at chairman [at] constitutionpartynm [dot] com
- In order to make this happen we need to get a minimum of minimum of 20 subscribers to the monthly Howard Phillips Legacy Society (HPLS) newsletter from each state. Find out more here: Howard Phillips Legacy Society.
- The second is to encourage each of the affiliated states so commit to paying their annual state assessment of $1,000.00 as quickly as possible. You can donate to the state assessment fund here.
